You really learn a lot about Israel and Tel Aviv’s history through the graffiti tour in particular. This is my second, of hopefully many tours with Aaron. Went to the central bus station in Tel Aviv - WOW is all I can say. He is so knowledgable and always willing to answer questions. Aaron was able to get us in on a last-minute graffiti tour. To say it was amazing is an understatement, he’s very knowledgeable not only about the art itself but the neighborhood, and so much of the history around the art itself, the meaning etc. Was a complete and utter blast!! I just finished attending a WONDERFUL tour via Zoom, which Aaron Gertz led for my children’s school in New Jersey. What an interesting tour! Aaron was “live”, actually walking the streets and alleyways in real time. Full of information about the graffiti art itself and ALSO about today’s cultural life in Tel Aviv. He really showed us what a diverse and constantly-changing place Tel Aviv is today. Funny, a good story-teller and insightful, Aaron was a great tour guide for kids and adults alike. I am a graphic artist professionally, so I especially loved his descriptions of the graffiti art styles and symbolism. Highly recommended for a Zoom tour and, someday soon I hope, for a live walking tour. Awesome tour!read more

I cannot say enough about Aaron! We (three generations) came to celebrate my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah and see as much as possible in eight days. He worked very well with the group through all inevitable changes due to weather and the group’s feedback.Aaron was great at keeping the group on track and found the right balance between staying strictly on schedule when necessary and providing flexibility when possible.He did an amazing job coordinating the driver with our activities - never were we left waiting nor inconvenienced by unnecessarily long walks.He has a very pleasant personality and deep knowledge about historical and current background. Aaron guided my birthright group on a 10 days trip being with us 24/7 and hands down he was amazing. I enjoyed his way of describing history and how modern he was in the way he told the history. He is so knowledgeable about the history of the neighborhoods, the individual businesses as well as all the modern graffiti artists. Highly recommend Aaron Gertz's Tel Aviv graffiti tours. Aaron is very knowledgeable and engaging, and gives a great historical background of the Florentin neighborhood. I never knew that street art is so meaningful until I heard Aaron's explanation. I believe that the tour is even more rewarding with the option for tastings from the local market and stores.
